Property assessments

Valuation role

The new assessment roll was deposited on September 14th, 2022, for the fiscal years 2023-2024-2025. The assessment roll is the inventory of all the properties on the territory, indicating their quantity, their characteristics and their actual value or fair market value (most probable sale price in a free and open market). The value of each property is entered on the assessment roll. The «Direction de l’évaluation foncière» of the City of Montreal prepares the valuation rolls for all municipalities on the Island of Montreal.

Property valuation and tax bill

The year 2023 is the first year of a new triennial (2023, 2024, 2025) property assessment roll. The new value of your property reflects its market value as of July 1st, 2021 based on comparative sales in your neighborhood and it will be applied to your 2023, 2024 and 2025 tax bills.
