Winter Parking and Snow Removal Operations

To ensure the safety of everyone and the smooth conduct of winter operations, we invite you to consult By-laws 343409, and 482 and to take note of several important obligations.

Winter Parking
Parking on public roads is limited to four (4) hours between midnight (12:00 a.m.) and 7:00 a.m., from November 1, 2025, to April 1, 2026.

No Parking at Any Time

  • On Senneville Road, between the intersection with Sainte-Anne Street and the l’Anse à l’Orme culvert.
  • In public parking areas, particularly in the designated area near Saint-Georges School due to fire service requirements.

Vehicle Relocation
To allow for road work, including snow removal and clearing operations, or for any other urgent or necessary reason, the Director of Public Works or their staff, a member of the Police, Public Safety, or Fire Services, or any other person authorized by the Council, may tow or have towed any vehicle parked in a location that interferes with Village operations.

Placement of Rolling Bins
Please ensure that your garbage, recycling, and compost bins are placed in your driveway and not on the public roadway. Bins left on the street may be damaged during snow removal operations and may obstruct the passage of municipal equipment.

Prohibition on Depositing Materials on Public Property
It is strictly prohibited to throw, deposit, or leave any residual material on public roads, in public places, in a watercourse, ditch, or on any other land. This includes, but is not limited to, cigarette butts, ashes, papers, newspapers, flyers, containers of any kind, garbage, organic waste, used car parts, construction materials, tar, lime, bricks, mud, soil, sand, rocks, gravel, cement, and any other similar material.

Claims for Snow Removal Damage
If you believe that you have suffered damage attributable to snow removal operations carried out by the Municipality and you have complied with Section 4 of By-law 409, you have until April 15, 2026, following the date of the damage, to file your claim.
