The Village of Senneville invites residents to take part in a tribute and commemorative ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the passing of police officer André Lalonde, to be held on April 29 and organized by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
At 9:45 a.m., a march will depart from City Hall and proceed to the intersection of Elmwood Avenue and Senneville Road. A ceremony will then take place on site to honour his memory.
During the march, residents will be asked to gather on the south side of Senneville Road, between Elmwood and Tunstall streets.
The ceremonial unit, the mounted unit, as well as SPVM motorcycle officers will be present.
The event will continue with a reception at the George-McLeish Community Centre. The SPVM will remain on site until 6:00 p.m., and attendees are welcome to stay as long as they wish.
