Crisis24

The old CodeRED platform has transitioned to Crisis24, another alert system managed by OnSolve.

Crisis24

The Village of Senneville uses an automated emergency call service to broadcast alerts and send you general advisories.

In the event of a major emergency, be informed!

Registered residents would receive important information including possible procedures to follow by telephone, email and SMS text messages. The Village of Senneville can use this system to notify the entire Town at large or to pinpoint a single street or area in order to only notify the affected residents of a water supply problem due to a water main rupture.

In order to take full advantage of this system, we encourage all of our residents and merchants to visit the above link and add secondary phone numbers, cell phone numbers and email addresses to the data base. By doing so, you will be able to receive text messages, emails and a phone call should you be away from your home during an emergency. Smartphone users are encouraged to provide an email address.

Please note that you will see 866-419-5000 on your call display should an emergency call be made to you on behalf of the City.

What is Crisis24 and why is it important to me?

How will I recognize a Crisis24 message?

A Crisis24 Emergency message will have a caller ID of 866-419-5000. A Crisis24 General message will have a caller ID 855-969-4636. We suggest you program both numbers in your cell phone as a “new contact” and use “Crisis24 Senneville as the contact name.

Visit the Crisis24 website and fill in the required information online (address, name, phone numbers, and email). This is the fastest way to sign up, as the information is immediately recorded in the system. If you do not have internet access at home, we recommend going to the library or asking a friend or family member for help to register.

Does Crisis24 already have my phone number?

No resident should assume their information is already in the system. Please visit the Crisis24 website to register or update your contact information.

Can I register more than one phone number or email address for my residence?

Yes, you can register multiple phone numbers or email addresses for your location when signing up for Crisis24. Please note that it is strongly recommended to register at least one phone number and one email address to ensure you receive Crisis24 alerts in case of a power outage or an incident that may occur at night when you are usually asleep.

I have a cordless phone that doesn’t work during a power outage. How will the system contact me?

Make sure you have at least one landline phone available for these situations. However, by signing up for Crisis24, you can provide a primary and a secondary phone number. Cell phone numbers or work numbers can also be used. Both your primary and secondary numbers will be contacted in the event of a Crisis24 alert.

What should I do if I receive a message from Crisis24?

If you receive a call from Crisis24, listen carefully to the entire message. You can replay the message by pressing a key. Do not call 911 for more information unless instructed to do so, or if you need immediate assistance from the police or fire department. If you receive a Crisis24 email or text message, make sure to read the entire message and follow all instructions carefully.

What should I do if I miss a call from Crisis24?

The Crisis24 system will leave a message on your voicemail or answering machine if you miss a call. If you do not have an answering machine, the system will mark the call as “incomplete” and will try again after a few minutes. If your phone line is busy, Crisis24 will try to contact you two more times. At any time, you can dial the 800 number with your caller code to listen to a replay of the message sent.

Do I need to renew my registration?

Renewals are not required as long as your contact information has not changed. However, if you move, you will need to update your information to ensure you continue receiving alerts.
