Opening of the REM in the West Island on May 18

Following tests conducted over the past few weeks and subject to the successful completion of final validation steps, the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) is announcing the opening of the Anse-à-l’Orme branch for May 18, 2026.

As of that date, the REM will operate daily from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. across its entire network. On the Anse-à-l’Orme branch, trains will run every 15 minutes throughout the day, providing regular and sustained service to the area.

This new segment represents a major milestone for mobility in the West Island. The Anse-à-l’Orme branch extends the network by 14 kilometres and includes four new stations: Des Sources, Fairview–Pointe-Claire, Kirkland, and Anse-à-l’Orme.

Information flyers will soon be mailed to residents living near the Anse-à-l’Orme branch. To view this brochure in digital format, click here!
