Elected Officers

In conformity to the Municipal Ethics and Good Conduct Act (R.S.Q., chapter E-15.1.0.1), a Code of Ethics and Conduct has been adopted by and for the municipal elected officers of the Village of Senneville following the general elections. By-law 445 establishes the values on which should be founded their decisions and establishes standards of behavior promoting these values as an integral part of their decision making process and in general, of their conduct in such capacity. This code will help prevent conflicts of interests and, if they arise, help in resolving them effectively and judiciously. It will also ensure the implementation of measures of control and sanctions in the event of breaches of conduct.

This by-law concerns every municipal employee, establishing its goals, the values of the municipality and the rules of conduct governing municipal employees. It is intended among others, to avoid conflicts of interests, to regulate the use of the resources of the municipality, the use or communication of confidential information and prevent breach of trust or embezzlement. This code implements preventive mechanisms and sanctions in the event of breaches of conduct.
