Extreme Heat Warning: Take Care of Your Health!

During this period of extreme heat, several of our facilities are available to help you stay cool: 

• Municipal pool (open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from noon to 9 p.m. on weekends) 
• Cooling station (open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the week) 
• Drinking fountains available in Senneville and Souvenir parks 
• Air-conditioned vestibule at the George-McLeish Community Centre, with access to a restroom

Here are a few tips: 
• Drink plenty of water, even if you’re not thirsty. 
• Spend several hours in a cool or air-conditioned place. 
• Cool off by taking a shower, a bath, or using a damp towel. 
• Avoid intense physical activity. 
• Wear light, loose-fitting, and light-colored clothing. 
• Limit consumption of alcoholic, sugary, or caffeinated beverages, as they can lead to dehydration.
