Sainte-Anne-du-Bout-de-l’Île Historical Society

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., at the George-McLeish Community Centre, the event will be themed Memories of Expo 67. The afternoon will begin with the screening of the 42-minute National Film Board (NFB) film Expo 67 – A Landmark Moment in Canadian History, followed by a 5-minute video from Endangered Stories, sharing the personal memories of Jason Bolanis’s mother.

After the screenings, participants will be invited to share their own memories of Expo 67. You are encouraged to bring personal keepsakes or any items related to the event to show everyone. Please make sure that all items are clearly labeled with your name. National dress is optional.

Pastries: Those who wish to bring cakes or cookies typical of their birthplace or their ancestors’ homeland are welcome. Please indicate the country represented by your treats to help us create our own Expo 2026.

Important: Please do not wear boots inside the community centre. Shoes or slippers are required.
