The branch collection service will resume on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, and will continue every other Tuesday until mid-November, weather permitting.
Please note: Collection may occasionally be postponed due to urgent public works carried out by the Public Works team.
Guidelines for Collection
To ensure safe and efficient collection, please follow these instructions:
Branches must:
- Be stacked at the edge of the street, with a maximum height of 1.2 meters (4 feet) and a maximum width of 4 meters (13.2 feet)
- Have a maximum length of 2.4 meters (8 feet)
- Be placed on your property about 1 meter from the street, in a row, with cut ends facing the street
- Be unbound
- Have a maximum diameter of 7.5 cm (3 inches)
- Come from light pruning or storm damage
Branches will not be collected if they:
- Are tangled, improperly arranged, or thorny (e.g., hawthorn, rose)
- Come from work performed by a private contractor
- Do not meet the above criteria (an explanatory notice may be left for you)
- Include roots, stumps, soil scraping debris, or any non-plant material (plastic, metal, etc.)
Free Mulch Distribution
The municipality offers free unprocessed mulch to residents. This mulch comes from the shredding of branches collected during the collection days. The mulch is raw and quantities are limited.
