On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., at the George-McLeish Community Centre, the speaker, Professor Steven High, will present The 200th Anniversary of the Lachine Canal. He will discuss the history of the closure, in the mid-20th century, of several industries located in southwest Montreal along the canal and will examine the impact on workers and their families.
