The Sainte-Anne-du-Bout-de-l’Île Historical Society invites its members to a presentation on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., at the George-McLeish Community Centre. On this occasion, David Covo, former Director of McGill University’s School of Architecture, will give a talk on The Golden Square Mile, an emblematic district that has significantly shaped Montreal’s history.
Over the years, several guest speakers have donated books related to their presentations, and the Society now wishes to make these available to members. A cart will be purchased to gather these volumes, which can be consulted or borrowed during meetings. Borrowing will operate on an honour system, with members simply recording the books they wish to take.
Anyone wishing to contribute to this collection may bring books on historical topics—whether local or more general—to the next meeting. The books will be added to the library.
