{"id":19717,"date":"2026-02-23T15:55:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T20:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.senneville.ca\/?p=19717"},"modified":"2026-03-05T13:41:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T18:41:12","slug":"stm-bus-network-redesign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.senneville.ca\/en\/stm-bus-network-redesign\/","title":{"rendered":"STM Bus Network\u00a0Redesign"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0STM\u00a0is currently redesigning its network to prepare for the opening of the Anse-\u00e0-l\u2019Orme\u00a0branch of the\u00a0<em>R\u00e9seau express m\u00e9tropolitain<\/em>\u00a0(REM).\u00a0<br><br>Although the official opening date has not yet been confirmed, the REM\u00a0indicates\u00a0that it is expected in spring 2026. In recent weeks, the STM has published several updates on its website to present public transit users with the new routes that will be introduced when the REM comes into service.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In Senneville<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two major improvements directly affect our territory:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Addition of a shared taxi stop<\/strong>&nbsp;providing an efficient connection to the REM Anse-\u00e0-l\u2019Orme&nbsp;station.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Introduction of a new bus line (222)<\/strong>, intended&nbsp;in particular to&nbsp;serve businesses along the Trans-Canada Highway and the industrial sector.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New routes and schedules<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before deployment, you can test the STM route simulator. This tool allows you to view routes, schedules, and connections to find the best trip options to your destination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/refontebus2026-en.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Try the&nbsp;route&nbsp;simulator<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Public information sessions<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To present the changes and answer questions, the STM will hold information kiosks and public consultation sessions. We invite you to consult the full schedule of information activities&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stm.info\/en\/about\/major_projects\/major-bus-projects\/bus-network-redesign\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<br>The closest&nbsp;option&nbsp;for Senneville residents is the session scheduled at&nbsp;<strong>Coll\u00e8ge John
