The plan will be submitted to the Government of Qu\u00e9bec to ensure its alignment with provincial guidelines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Three Strategic Pillars<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan is built around three core orientations:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Land Use<\/strong>: Creating complete living environments, increasing density, and focusing development around public transit hubs.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Transportation<\/strong>: Promoting sustainable mobility (active and public transit) and reducing reliance on single-occupancy vehicles.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Environment<\/strong>: Protecting natural, cultural, and landscape areas through green and blue networks and preserving strategic spaces.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The new PMAD will lead to adjustments in our urban planning documents and regulations, as the next step involves revising the Land Use and Development Plan (SAD) for the Montr\u00e9al Agglomeration. Under current legislation, a three-year timeline is provided for the adoption of a by-law updating the SAD.
